The service I offer is one of a kind. Your baton is balanced where the handle and shaft intersect, and will be custom-made, based on the:
- Length of the Shaft
- Material of the Shaft (your choice of 3/8" balsa wood, or extremely light hollow graphite)
- Material of the Handle (cork or wood)
- Shape of the Handle
- Embedded Stones (gemstones, birthstones, diamonds, and/or monogram initials)
The James Paul model is made of balsa wood, 3/8th's inch tapered to the end. Cork handle. The shaft is painted white. Natural balsa wood is pale in color and requires white paint. It is well balanced, very light and may include a monogram initial and a beautiful colored glass stone, bead or jewel. Domestic shipping add $20.00. International shipping TBD.
The Leonard Bernstein model is a copy of an original baton owned by Leonard Bernstein. The cork handle is large and resembles a mushroom shape. It is very comfortable to hold. It is well balanced and may include a monogram initial and a jewel or gemstone. I like to use graphite for the shaft. When the wood is sanded to the width he liked it is quite fragile and tends to whip. Domestic shipping add $20.00. International shipping TBD.

The Carlos Kalmar model is made of hollow graphite. It is very light and very durable. I install a cork handle. The balance is where the cork and the graphite shaft intersect. The Bernard Haitink model is a copy of an original baton given to me by maestro Haitink. It is 14 inches long. The shaft and handle are both made of wood.
